Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Badger (badgerpay.co.uk). By creating an account you agree to them. They are written to be read, not skimmed past - they are short.

What Badger is

Badger sends scheduled reminder emails about your unpaid invoices, on your behalf, to the clients you choose. You control the schedule, the tone, and the words of every reminder, and you can pause or stop any chase at any time.

What Badger is not

Your account

Keep your login details safe and your account information accurate - your name and reply-to email appear on the reminders Badger sends for you. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Acceptable use

Badger exists to chase genuine invoices for work you have actually done or goods you have actually supplied. You agree not to use it to:

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable we will warn you first.

Emails sent on your behalf

Reminders are sent from Badger's email infrastructure, clearly marked as sent on your behalf, with replies going to your own email address. You decide what each reminder says, so you are responsible for its content. We may decline to send content that breaks the acceptable use rules above.

Billing

Your first invoice chase is free. Continued use beyond that needs a subscription at the price shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Payments are handled by Stripe. You can cancel any time and your subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for; we do not offer refunds for partial periods. If a price ever changes, we will tell you in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal.

Your data

How we handle data is covered in the privacy policy. In short: it is yours, we collect little, and deleting your account deletes your data.

Service and availability

We work to keep Badger reliable, but no online service can promise to be available without interruption. We may change or improve features over time. If we ever discontinue Badger, we will give you reasonable notice to export what you need.

Liability

Badger is a tool for sending reminders; the underlying debt, contract, and relationship between you and your client remain yours. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Badger and delete your account at any time from settings. We can end the agreement with reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Badger after that means you accept the updated terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
